<RX-100>

Q01: Is it possible to download data from Lapcom to a PC?
No, it isn't possible to download data from the Lapcom RX-100 to a PC.

Q02: Do I need the optional handy printer to print the stored data?
Yes. Because the RX-100 cannot be connected to a PC, you need the printer to print the data.

Q03: Is it possible to measure segment times with the magnetic sensor?
The RX-100 cannot measure segment times. It can only measure lap times.

Q04: Does my Lapcom RX-100 support lap timing via buried magnets in the course?
Please check the serial number of your RX-100. Units whose last four digits of the serial number are below 1000 do not support measurement via buried magnets.

When there is one buried magnet in the course, RX-100s whose last four digits of the serial number are 1000 and above can measure lap times with the optional magnetic sensor.

When there are multiple buried magnets in the course, the following three cases apply with respect to the last four digits of the serial number:

1) 1000 to 2355: The RX-100 needs to be updated for which a charge is applicable.
2) 2356 to 2704: We will update the RX-100 for free when you purchase the optional magnetic sensor.
3) 2705 and after: The RX-100 is already updated. Please just purchase the optional magnetic sensor.

<VX-2000>

Q01: What do I need to build the minimum system for the Lite 20, for example? And how much does it cost?
You can build the minimum system with the VX Lite 20 as follows:

·VX Lite 20 39,800 JPY
·Transmitter TX-100* 28,000 JPY
·8-pin extension cable (recommended for machines other than Karts) 2,800 JPY
·4-pin extension cable (recommended for machines other than Karts)* 2,500 JPY
* Not required if you measure data via buried magnets in the course.

Additionally, for convenience of operation we recommend purchase of the following:

·External power supply module 8,000 JPY
·Display Backlight 18,000 JPY
·Bracket 1,200 JPY
·Display mount 4,800 JPY
·Liquid sensor 8,000 JPY

Q02: Which data items are displayed simultaneously?
Lap and segment times, engine RPM, speed, temperature x 2, and displacement monitoring.

In addition to the items above, you can select one of the following for display:
A/F, pressure x 1, lateral G, battery voltage, miles driven.

Q03: Is it possible to display voltage during races?
Yes. Press SET to display "V". If your Lapcom is connected to the external battery, the in-vehicle battery and internal battery voltages are displayed in turn.

Q04: How long does it take to download twenty minutes of data from the Lapcom to a PC?
It depends on the data volume, but on average it takes about 40 seconds.

Q05: Is it possible to record the MIN/MAX RPM of each lap?
Yes.

Q06: Is it possible to measure throttle positions?
Yes. This is possible with all models of VX-2000 other than Lite 20 and 100. It requires the optional displacement sensor.

Q07: How can I measure wheel speed and how much margin of error does it have?
If the vehicle has a pulse for a car navigation system, please calculate the speed pulse length. If the length is between 100mm and 999 mm, it is possible to measure wheel speed from the output for the car navigation system.
The margin of error should be within 1%.

Q08: Is it possible to map the course with two-wheeled vehicles?
The course mapping function doesn't support two-wheeled vehicles. The course displays as a circle. You cannot measure lateral G accurately.

Q09: What is meant by trickle charge?
It means a regular slow charge.

<Others>

Q01: Is it possible to measure segment times on the course with multiple buried magnets?
With the VX series, it is possible to measure segments times and monitor them during races.

Q02: When there are multiple transmitters on the course, is there any possibility of interference or malfunction of the device?
The TX-100 transmitter has 16 channels to avoid any interference and malfunction of the device.

Q03: Can I use the transmitter with the RX-100?
Yes. The TX-100 transmitter can be used for both the RX and VX series.

Q04: If the course has buried magnets, don't I need the optical sensor and transmitter?
If the course has buried magnets, you don't need the optical sensor and transmitter. When purchasing, please select magnetic sensor as the standard system.

Q05: How about guarantee of the products?
All products have a six-month guarantee.
